2008 - The Tribe's Grand Floral Parade entry "Romancing Rose" received the Rose Festival Court Award for the entry best exemplifying community or civic involvement and pride. The float told the story of Tribal member Deitrich Peter's courtship of his wife, Rose, who is a member of the Shoshone Tribe.
2003 - Luhui Whitebear joined the Tribe as the new scholarship coordinator for the Education Department. Originally from Santa Barbara, Calif., she is a member of the coastal band of Chumash Indians.
1998 - The Tribe's entry in the Rose Festival Grand Floral Parade received the grand prize for best float over 35 feet long. It featured a storyteller bedecked for a powwow in Northwest regalia and crowned with a headpiece epitomizing the cunning wisdom of Coyote.
1993 - Tribal Council adopted a Divorce Ordinance on June 16. More information was available by contacting Jackie Whisler.
1988 - John and Eula Petite were featured for their 51st year of togetherness. Eula said that their mutual respect for each other, their sense of humor, similar interests and their religion kept them together for more than half a century.
