Madeline passed away in her home on March 17, 2014. She wished to be cremated. Arrangements are being handled by Dallas Mortuary Tribute Center. Madeline wished to have her ashes joined with her husband John's in the Trinity Alps in northern California. Their son, Greg Nelson, will horseback in to join the two for eternity.

She wishes for the family and friends to have a barbecue later with a date and time to be determined. Arrangements are being made by her son, Richard Ray, a Grand Ronde Tribal member, and his wife, Kathi Ray. The barbecue will be held in the Elders' Activity Center of the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde in Grand Ronde. The family wishes to thank the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde for taking care of their mother and making her wishes possible.

John (Pappy) Nelson owned and operated his truck, a MFG home toter, and Madeline (Little Mama) drove pilot car for him and many other drivers until her retirement in 2006.

A part of our hearts has gone with them and a part of theirs will always be with us, until our Father and our Lord brings us together again. Our hearts will always miss them.

The family wishes to thank Bollman Funeral Home for caring for them through this time. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.dallastribute.com.
