Tanis Russell White, 14, of Mexico, Mo., walked on on Friday, April 24, 2015, at his home.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, April 29, at Arnold Funeral Home in Mexico, Mo.

Tanis was born on April 11, 2001, in Salem, Ore., the son of Matthew White and Esmerelda Travino.

He is survived by his father, Matthew White of Mexico, Mo.; his mother, Esmerelda Vosburg of Oregon; sisters, C’aria, Autumn and Misty; grandmother, Sue George of Mexico, Mo.; grandfather, Orrin White of Grand Ronde, Ore.; grandparents, Oscar and Esmelda Travino of Salem, Ore.; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was of Native American descent and was a member of the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde.

Tanis loved stuffed pigs, reading books and playing video games. He really loved his father’s car.
