Tribal Council announced changes within the Tribal General Manager’s Office, as well as departmental reporting structure, in an Aug. 31 e-mail sent to all Tribal employees.
Social Services Department Manager David Fullerton was named interim general manager and Dawn Doar, who was serving as general manager since April 6, was named assistant general manager.
Bryan Langley, who was serving as interim assistant general manager, returned to his position as Higher Education manager in the Education Department.
Filling Fullerton’s role at Social Services will be Dana Ainam, who will be interim manager of that department.
Tribal Council announced that the general manager position will be advertised and candidate screenings will follow. Tribal Council held a job description review for the general manager’s position on Tuesday, Sept. 8.
In addition, it was announced that Tribal Council Chief of Staff Stacia Martin will supervise Tribal Council administration, committees and special event boards, Member Services, Public Affairs/Publications, Housing, the Tribal Historic Preservation Office, the Culture Department and the Tribal Cemetery.
All other Tribal departments will report to the General Manager’s Office.
“It is our belief that these changes will not only help improve communication between executive staff, Tribal departments and the Tribal Council, but that they will provide a more natural fit in terms of work flow and overall efficiency of operations,” Tribal Council Chairman Reyn Leno said in the e-mail.
