Veterans SEB seeking Senior Queen contestants

The Tribe’s Veterans Special Event Board is looking for teenage girls between 13 and 18 years of age to represent it as the Veterans Senior Queen.

Contestants will have to dance, take part in an interview and give a speech during a contest to be held at this year’s Restoration Powwow on Saturday, Nov. 21. Deadline to sign up is Wednesday, Nov. 18.

Contestants must have regalia, be able to speak in public, have knowledge of powwow protocol, have a parent or sponsor with a legal driver’s license, learn some military history and terms, and be willing to dedicate some holidays and weekends to the role.
