Saturday, Jan. 21

  • Two alarms were set off in Tribal government buildings. Both were accidental activation by employees.

  • Citizen contact at the Tribal Police Department: Citizen had information regarding a possible stolen trailer parked near the highway. Officer investigated and the trailer was already gone.

  • A loose dog in Grand Meadows was reunited with its owners.

  • Fraud call at Spirit Mountain Casino: A woman was using an EBT card belonging to her husband. The husband was contacted and confirmed that she had permission to use it.

  • Two cell phones were located by a citizen in Tribal housing near Tyee Road and turned into the police.

  • Driving complaint on Highway 18. Vehicle was located and the driver assisted.

  • Tribal Police responded to assist Yamhill County deputies with a wanted subject near Grand Ronde. The subject was located by Tribal Police and Yamhill County deputies and subsequently arrested.

  • Police responded to a disturbance near Tyee Road. Police charged one person with disorderly conduct, misuse of 911 and assisted with transport to the hospital for treatment.

Sunday, Jan. 22

  • Police solved a cold hit-and-run case from June 2016. The suspect was located in Hillsboro and charged with felony hit and run.

  • A male was arrested for rape and other sex crimes.

  • A runaway was reported and later located. The juvenile was reunited with their guardian.

  • Police assisted Polk County Sheriff’s deputies with a trespass in the 9000 block of Grand Ronde Road. A female was arrested for Trespass I.

Monday, Jan. 23

  • Theft of $15 was reported at Spirit Mountain Casino. Suspect left during the night after not paying a bar tab.

  • Telephonic harassment reported to police. Victim did not wish to pursue charges.

  • Police assisted Polk County Sheriff’s deputies with a domestic reported on Grand Ronde Road. One juvenile was taken to the hospital for treatment. Polk County will be investigating.

  • Police responded to assist Yamhill County deputies with a vehicle that was eluding. Yamhill County deputies took one suspect into custody.

  • Crash down an embankment on Hebo Road. No injuries. Police assisted with recovering the vehicle.

Tuesday, Jan. 24

  • Disturbance in Tribal housing. A woman wanted to be let into a house that was not hers and was upset that she could not enter. She was gone before police could respond.

  • Police responded to the Tribal gym for report of gym equipment being stolen. The equipment was later recovered.

  • Forged prescription reported at the Tribal Clinic. Police responded and investigated.

  • Police responded to an accident on Highway 18. A vehicle went into the ditch, flipped and caught on fire. Bystanders pulled the driver out and no injuries were reported. Oregon State Police arrived and investigated.

  • Woodcutting complaint. Police investigated.

  • Police and Polk County deputies responded to 8000 block of Grand Ronde Road for a reported burglary in progress. Was a false alarm due to a prescription issue.

Wednesday, Jan. 25

  • Disturbance call at Spirit Mountain Casino. Officers responded and assisted.

  • 911 hang-up on Grand Ronde Road due to a technical issue. Residents were OK and did not dial 911.

Thursday, Jan. 26

  • Citizen contact: A man contacted police because he was lost. Police assisted with getting him to his location.

  • Wildlife complaint received from Natural Resources. Police investigating.

Friday, Jan. 27

  • Child abuse complaint investigated by police and state Department of Human Services. Complaint was unfounded.

  • Theft of $113 from a wallet at Spirit Mountain Casino. Police investigating.
