Debra “Debbie” Kay Wible

June 29, 1961 – April 15, 2017

Tribal Elder Debra “Debbie” Kay Wible, 55, a resident of Grand Ronde, walked on on Saturday, April 15, 2017, in Portland.

She was born on June 29, 1961, the daughter of Milton Roy and Hazel Lorraine Haller Sherwood. At an early age, she started caring for her siblings. She has been a mom and caregiver all of her life. She never gave up on anyone and had the biggest heart. She loved watching movies.

She is survived by her sons, Bradley, Matthew and Michael Wible and Maurice Bishop III, and daughter, Jennifer Bishop, along with 10 grandchildren. She also is survived by her mother, Hazel Porter; father, Milton Sherwood; stepfather, Thomas Porter; sisters, Patricia Strutton and Cheryl Brooks; and brother, Kenny Sherwood.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice Leonard Bishop II, and brothers, Milton Sherwood Jr. and Ricky Sherwood.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 21, in the new Lighthouse Church in Grand Ronde. Interment will follow in the Grand Ronde Tribal Cemetery.
