Sunday, July 23

Tribal police located a person of interest for the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.

A suspect in multiple crimes was arrested by another agency. Tribal police interviewed the suspect at the Yamhill County Jail and charged him with fourth-degree assault in connection with a case from April. The male suspect also was interviewed regarding several other cases.
Monday, July 24

Tribal police returned to the Yamhill County Jail and charged the male suspect with theft, forgery, criminal possession of a forged instrument and identity theft.

A concerned citizen called Tribal police regarding a male laying down or sitting in traffic on Highway 18 near Jahn Road. Tribal police responded and learned the male was tying his shoe.

A concerned citizen reported a disturbed individual in the Tribal Governance area. Tribal police assisted the individual with locating the bus stop.

A purse was reported stolen in the 27000 block of Salmon River Highway. Tribal police responded. The purse was returned to lost and found with nothing missing.

An illegally parked vehicle was reported in the area of Tyee Road.

A Department of Human Services report was sent to Tribal police. Tribal police assisted with the investigation.
Tuesday, July 25

An illegally parked vehicle was tagged for tow and the owner contacted.

An anonymous call was made to the police department with vague details about a crime the caller believed happened. After attempting to track down the caller for more information, the case was closed.

Tribal police assisted Yamhill County deputies with an eviction of a barricaded subject in the 20000 block of Grand Ronde Road.

Another male suspect in an earlier theft case was arrested by another agency and lodged at Yamhill County Jail on charges. Tribal police went to the jail and charged the male with theft.

A missing person was located during a traffic stop by Tribal police.

Tribal police assisted Polk County and Yamhill County deputies with searching for a male suspect who fled from a traffic stop.
Wednesday, July 26

Tribal police responded to assist Oregon State Police with a traffic accident on Highway 18 near milepost 23.

Tribal police assisted Polk County deputies with serving an eviction notice on Grand Ronde Road.

A stalking and trespass issue was reported to Tribal police in the McPherson Road area. Tribal police assisted the victim with obtaining resources.

Marijuana was located in the 27000 block of Salmon River Highway and turned over to Tribal police for destruction.

Tribal police assisted with a burn investigation.

A domestic was reported on the highway. Tribal police and other agencies searched for the vehicle.
Thursday, July 27

Two alarms were received.

A traffic hazard was reported to Tribal police on Hebo Road. Tribal police responded and the traffic hazard had already cleared.

A nude sunbather was reported to Tribal police, who spoke to the sunbather about proper attire.

A male suspect was arrested for menacing.

A driving complaint was reported and Tribal police located the vehicle.

Tribal police assisted Polk County deputies with a possible prowler.
Friday, July 28

An illegal fire and trespass issue was reported to Tribal police, who responded. A male was arrested on a probation violation.

Illegal drugs were turned in to Tribal police for destruction.

A driving complaint was reported to Tribal police, who waited for the vehicle. The vehicle did not come into Grand Ronde.

A car prowl and theft was reported to Tribal police, who located some of the missing property.

An injured deer was reported to Tribal police, who could not locate the deer.

Saturday, July 29

A vehicle registration was located in the 27000 block of Salmon River Highway by Tribal police and turned over to lost and found.

A driving complaint was reported to Tribal police, who did not see the vehicle enter Grand Ronde.

A criminal mischief report was taken in the area of Blacktail Drive.

A report of a suspicious person was reported in the area of Blacktail Drive. Tribal police were unable to locate the individual or any other witnesses.

Another driving complaint was received, but did not come in to Grand Ronde.

Tribal police were requested to respond to Sheridan to cover Yamhill County deputies with an armed person. The request was canceled as Tribal police arrived.
Sunday, July 30

Tribal police located people sleeping in the day-use area overnight. They were contacted and warned against doing so in the future, and directed on how to obtain a camping permit for Big Buck campground.

A trailer was reported to be parked on Tribal land near Yoncalla Creek Road. Tribal police responded and contacted the occupants. The occupants were warned against future trespassing issues. A male was cited for a previous report of theft and giving false information to police.

A stolen sign was reported to the Tribal police near Big Buck campground.

Tribal police assisted Polk County deputies and Oregon State Police troopers with arresting a male on an outstanding arrest warrant.

Campers were reported to be trespassing at Big Buck campground. They were warned to not continue trespassing and to obtain a camping permit.

A domestic disturbance was reported in the 27000 block of Salmon River Highway. Tribal police responded and determined no crime occurred.

Monday, July 31

Tribal police assisted traffic control for a motorist whose vehicle broke down on the highway.

Two juveniles were located riding bicycles with helmets and were given ice cream vouchers.

A driving complaint was reported regarding a vehicle swerving. Tribal police located the vehicle.
-
Two dogs were reported to have been left in a vehicle in the heat. Tribal police responded and observed the dogs were not in distress. The owners were located and warned against leaving animals in hot cars.

Tribal police assisted with a mental health call near Tyee Road.

A vehicle break-in was reported to Tribal police. The case is under investigation.
Tuesday, Aug. 1

Tribal police assisted Polk County deputies with a suspicious vehicle that was reported on Ash Avenue.

Tribal police assisted Polk County deputies with locating a suspect in a hit and run so he could be interviewed by deputies.
-
Several dogs were left in hot vehicles in the 27000 block of Salmon River Highway. Tribal police assisted with ensuring the dogs were taken care of.

A theft of fuel was reported to Tribal police.

A theft was reported in the 26000 block of Salmon River Highway.

The suspect in an earlier theft returned the stolen funds to the victim.
Wednesday, Aug. 2

A welfare check of a minor was reported to Tribal police, who were unable to locate the subjects.

An eviction notice was served near Tyee Road.

Three males were reported to have left without paying for their dinner near the 27000 block of Salmon River Highway. The males were contacted and paid for the food.

Several unfounded driving complaints were reported to Tribal police.

A suspicious vehicle was located by Tribal police on Hebo Road.
Thursday, Aug. 3

A backpack containing marijuana and associated paraphernalia was located and turned in to police for destruction.

A false alarm was reported in the 9000 block of Grand Ronde Road.

Tribal police and Oregon State Police were requested to assist Yamhill County deputies in Willamina with a possible car prowler.

A driving complaint was reported to Tribal police, who located the vehicle and stopped it.

A gas leak was reported on Highway 18. Tribal police assisted with traffic control while utility companies stopped the leak.

Tribal police located a male in need of water and possibly suffering from heat exhaustion. The male was brought to the police station to cool down and was given water.

Tribal police responded to a trespass complaint. The unwanted male suspect barricaded himself in the residence. Tribal police and Polk County deputies were let inside and located the suspect, who was arrested on trespass charges, violations of a no contact order and outstanding felony warrants.
Friday, Aug. 4

Tribal police located a suspect in a hit and run in Salem and notified Salem police.

A mental health call was reported in the 27000 block of Salmon River Highway. Tribal police responded and assisted.

Saturday, Aug. 5

A male subject was arrested for possession of methamphetamine after dropping it out of his pocket.

A false alarm was reported in the 9000 block of Grand Ronde Road.

A driving complaint was reported to Tribal police, who did not see the vehicle.

Another false alarm was reported in the 9000 block of Grand Ronde Road.

A domestic disturbance was reported in the Tilixam Circle area. Tribal police responded, determined no crime had occurred and assisted.

An unfounded complaint of Elder abuse was reported in the 27000 block of Salmon River Highway.

A domestic disturbance was reported on Grand Ronde Road. A female was arrested for assault.

An injured deer was reported to Tribal police. Tribal police euthanized the deer after observing the injuries to be fatal.
