General Council briefed on investment values

A representative from Robert W. Baird & Co. Inc. briefed the general membership on the Grand Ronde Tribe’s investment portfolio during the hybrid General Council meeting held Sunday, Oct. 1, on Zoom and in Tribal Council Chambers.

The 30-minute briefing was presented in executive session, which limits how much Smoke Signals can report on the content.

Baird Director Joseph Hoon made the presentation and there were no questions or comments from the membership during the session.

In other action, Tribal Council Chairwoman Cheryle A. Kennedy announced that the next General Council meeting will be at 11 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 5, with an executive session review of the proposed 2024 budget.

Lorena Rivera, Judy Williams, Simone Auger, Darla Reynvaan and Robert Haller won the $50 door prizes. Mike Wilson, Martha Jones and Delight Satter won the $100 door prizes.
